The Castle Hotel is an elegant and spacious Georgian hotel located in Dublin City Centre just 2 minutes walk from O'Connell St and within walking distance of Temple Bar, Croke Park and all Main Shopping Areas.
Recently renovated the hotel retains many of its original Georgian features, such as splendid period staircases, original plasterwork, striking antique mirrors, crystal chandeliers and open fires in the winter.
All rooms are en-suite and tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard to offer both comfort and style.and provide conveniences such as Tea and Coffee Facilities, Direct Dial telephone, hairdryer and Complimentary Wi-Fi. We have an elegant and welcoming main reception area with annex reception rooms which are steeped in sophisticated Georgian style for you to relax in.
The new Bar & Restaurant "The Castle Vaults" has an exposed vaulted ceiling that has been in place for the past 200 years! It offers a variety of menus to suit all tastes and hosts a Live Traditional Irish Music Band every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday Nights (Summer Months) and Friday and Saturday Nights (Rest of the Year). It has a relaxed and cosy atmosphere, combines all the amenities of a modern bar with the ambiance of old world charm. The hotel has it's own private car park and is convenient to Dublin International Airport, ferry terminals, and rail stations and is within minutes of all of the city's major attractions and is actually located on Dublin's official cultural trail with immediate access to the Abbey, Gate & O'Reilly Theatres, Hugh Lane Gallery, the Francis Bacon Exhibition the Dublin's Writers Museum and the James Joyce Cultural Centre.

“ I would definitely recommend the hotel and area to anyone. The staff were lovely and helpful. The local band at the weekend was very entertaining. We were made to feel very at home.
“ Top Tip: Its a great location to the high street, just a few minutes walk so everything is close at hand.

“ We picked this hotel out of the blue for our honeymoon. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, room was lovely and spacious, with double bed, wardrobe etc. Ensuite was fine size too. We had two windows in the room which let a lot of light in. The only fault I would say is that there is net curtains put on the windows as the room was looking straight into the office block over the road. Breakfast was excellent and we had one evening meal in the hotel which was good but very expensive.
“ Top Tip: We had a freedom tick for the hop on and off bus and stop 23 was just yards from the hotel, which was great for during the day if you wanted back to hotel. But night time was a different story, and taxis was expensive.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.
My first room smelt of cigarettes and would not have been able to sleep in there. The reception staff were very helpful and offered me another room but it sadly only had single beds.
The rooms were clean and tidy but looked tired and worn out. This was through out the whole hotel.

I bought the weekend in Dublin for my son and his wife...... we heard nothing from them since days before they were going, nothing during their stay and appart from a few nice souvenirs arriving we have heard NOTHING from them since.
I would love to be able to send you some nice feedback but that will be given as and when they bother to contact us to say thanks for what was his birthday present.
I have rated as I would have expected the Hotel to have been.
Thanks to you for your regular email updates, you have been excellent and my wife and I would certainly book through you for ourselves !!
