“ This hotel was in a good location within easy walking distance of the Opera house. It has been refurbished recently to a high standard. Bed was large and comfy. Room was cosy. Cooking facilities a bonus. Staff very helpful and friendly. Room was serviced daily and kept immaculate throughout.

A classical building with historic background, Le Meridien, is ideally located in the heart of Budapest close to main pedestrian shopping street within walking distance of the Opera, Parliament and Danube River. 192 bedrooms and 26 suites are all decorated in grand hotel traditional style. There are three restaurants an a la carte, a French gourmet Le Bourbon, the Café Atrium, and the Terasse Restaurant. Each evening a live jazz trio are in the Adria Bar. On the 8th floor is an indoor swimming pool, exercise room, Jacuzzi, sauna and steam bath. Thai and Swedish massage on requested.
“ All the staff at this hotel are very pleasant and most helpful. We were offered the use of the hotel towels for the thermal bath visits we made off site and these were replenished as soon as we requested clean towels on our return.

“ There was only one fault with this hotel and that was when we rang for room service we were told that they were to busy in the resturant to assist us so i had to get dressed and go down to the bar as there is no facilities in the bedroom to make tea of coffee, the second time i rang down they said it was closed when i rang reception i was informed that this was not true.

The Carlton Hotel is situated at the foot of the famous Fishermen's Basin and the romantic Castle Quarter. The city's central business and shopping districts are close to the hotel. The hotel has an excellent, central but quiet location and offers the best in modern comfort. The hotel boasts 95 bedrooms which are all equipped with air conditioning, television, telephone and minibar.

“ The Hotel was well maintained with rooms clean and tidy. We were fortunate to have a small balcony which proved very pleasant for an evening drink. Breakfast was plain, but adequate. We ate in the Hotel two evenings, and the meals were served very promptly, and represented good value for money For us this Hotel was idealy situated about twenty minutes bus ride from the City Centre.

“ What to say? Never thought to find a hotel-reception at the 5 floor... Other than that the Hotel is great! Very clean, confortable room, with people at the reception always available and ready to sort the smallet drawback out, and a great buffet-breakfast. Fantastic location, just next the Metro 2, and with lots of buses nearby. A hotel to recommend!
