Latania Apartments has a great setting on the island of Crete, only 30 metres from a lovely 4km sandy beach situated in a cove at the village of Stalis, also known as Stalida. Latania Apartments and Studios are spread across various low-rise buildings connected by well-lit walkways winding through palm trees and colourful shrubs and flowers. Small groups and families will appreciate the affordable self-catering facilities and can enjoy the outdoor pool, sun terrace and social bars, and small area with games and video arcade. Latania Apartments offer good value for money for a sun, sea and fun holiday, with easy access to local shops, restaurants and taverns, and livelier towns nearby.
Getting to the hotel: 30km to Heraklion (Iraklion) Airport. Thirty minutes by private taxi transfer. Local tips: The neighbouring towns of Hersonissos (3km) and Malia (2km) are renowned for their nightlife and range of shops, restaurants and taverns. A bus stop is 300m away. Around the resort, nearby are grocery shops and taverns, car and bike rental offices, cafes and jewellery shops. Opposite the hotel is a hairdresser, medical centre and ATM.

Studios are suitable for 2-5 people with 1 air-conditioned (extra charge) room and extra beds available. Family apartments suit 4-5 people with 1 master bedroom (1 double and 1 single bed)and 2 more beds in the main room (air conditioning is available at extra charge in the main bedroom, fan available for hire for second room). Features include balcony or terrace, a private bathroom with bathtub or shower, fully equipped kitchenette, fridge, toaster, kettle, filter coffee machine, telephone, central music, hair drier and safe box (extra charge). Very warm friendly family run hotel. Manos gives it the personal touch and makes all feel very welcome. Very clean, great food, excellent location and on the beach in 2 minutes. The main road has lots of nice restaurants and all are a good price. The hotel is set back far enough so you are not disturbed by any noise.
We had a lovely week in Crete and would definitely go back.
The one thing we would recomend as a general point, is take mosquitoe repellant and bite cream as we did get bitten quite a lot but that is just Crete and Greece in general.
“ Top Tip: We went at the beginning of the season so some places were closed, however we found a lovely little square in Malia old town with 3 traditional Greek Tavernas, it was beautiful and the restaurant was well priced. The food was homemade and tasted amazing. You will need to go through Malia's main strip, at the top of the road go straight across and through the winding cobbled streets all the way to the top, you then come to an opening and that is where the Tavernas are situated. The traditional Greek streets are again, beautiful. It was nice to see a part of their culture.

“ we are regular visitors to latania and have a brilliant time. the apartments are kept very clean and tidy. would and have recommended latania to all our friends, who many have been and would go back. we also meet up with many previous guests there from all over the country every sept. stalios and litza the owners always have a very warm welcome for us. nothing is too much trouble. the bar owner manos is the ultimate best and a very dear friend,after staying there for the last 9yrs. bless him. we love him lots. x x andy & sharon lewis

Lovely welcome on arrival by owner , and
Manus who runs the pool area is very friendly and helpful , apartment very well equipped , and comfortable bed , good value . many restaurants and pubs on same stretch of road all very friendly staff , lovely stretch of beach just across the street , making for a lovely relaxed holiday with plenty shops and amenities right at your door.

Restaurant Creta is almost opposite Latania Studios.
The food is great. Martha and Michael are kind and friendly,it's well worth a visit.

Very clean apartments.
“ Top Tip: Very close to the Bars, Restaurants and Beach, so very close to everything you need including supermarkets. If you like the beach, average price for 2 x sunbeds and umbrella 5 euros, although if you visit 'Barcode ', they don't charge for sunbeds/umbrella , all they ask is that you buy a drink from the bar .... but check out their Bargain breakfast for 290 euros .....great! All the restaurants serve great food.
