  • Clean and well run . Good location. Decor dated. Great buffet breakfast. The entertainment in hotel was abysmal. It could be so much better.

  • Good value, staff worked hard to look after us. Not a 5 star, but was as I expected, more a 4 star; and the hotel is showing its age but everything worked and our room was ok with a decent view. Food was generally quite good but some hot food, mainly potatoes were often cold.

Pro's:
Great Location & Setting
Friendly Staff
Room was large (534) & clean
Good Breakfast
Good value pricewise.

Cons:
Dated room interior decoration & appointments.
Drainage problems in bathroom..... unacceptable.
Entertainment..... mediocre & unimaginative.
Lifts both internal & external (to beach) are problematic and per trip adviser, have been, for a considerable length of time....unacceptable.
This hotel boasts a 5 star rating.......this is ,in my view, utterly misleading, when comparing to other 5 star properties throughout Europe.

We missed transfer bus to airport on departure as it was not pointed out to us that collection was at the hotel gate on the road as opposed to outside hotel reception...... where, by the way, we were dropped on arrival. We were informed of this by reception 20 minutes after pick up time, when we inquired as to the whereabouts of the transfer bus.We got a taxi ,competitvely priced at 15 euro!

Top Tip: Captain Georges Restaurant/Taverna,across the road from the hotel, is very good for both good food and value. That said, there's no competition locally.
500 meters from the hotel, up on the point ,there's two outstanding cafe /bars looking across the sea and down on the Airport runway.

Reasonable choice of food. Entertainment was ok but somewhat old fashioned.
Very little entertainment nearby, only one Bar which we did not use and odd restaurants, however there was good bus service to Corfu Town that we used frequently to go shopping etc. The beach lift was out of action for 3 days at the end of our holiday and the Swimming pool was closed for cleaning on Thursday till early Friday am.

Top Tip: Monastery on Mouse Island is below hotel, only 2.5 Euros by boat.
Bus to Corfu Town from outside hotel is only 1.10 Euros.
Close to airport, we enjoyed watching the planes land and take off.
