“ Great hotel for the price. Only 10 minutes on the free bus to the parks which runs on a loop so you never wait more than 20 minutes. Breakfast was OK, the hot items like the sausage, egg and beans were not to our taste but plenty of other cold items to choose from and the coffee was nice.

“ this hotel is advertised with parking although this has to be paid for ,which is not clearly stated before booking . The room we stayed in was clean but the building had quite a seedy atmosphere ,, would not recommend for families or older people.

“ Staff very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the room had had smokers in it and consequently smelt of stale smoke. This is obviously allowed as it was equipped with matches and ashtrays. Otherwise an elegantly furnished hotel, good breakfast choice and perfect location.

“ Welcoming staff that were helpful with any questions we had. They also offered us some suggestions. As we tried to speak French they spoke French back which was nice but also spoke good English when the communication began to break down.

The hotel Mansart *** is ideally located at the corner of the prestigious Place Vendôme, just a few step from the business and arts neighborhood: department stores Galeries Lafayette and Printemps, the palais Garnier Opéra House, the Madeleine, the Louvre Museum and the Jardin des Tuileries. The renovation was conceived in memory of Louis XIV ‘s great architect, Jules Hardouin Mansart (1646-1708), who notably designed the Place Vendôme, the Palace of Versailles and the great Invalides dome. The decoration of the lobby is inspired by the famous drawings of the French-style gardens. The 57 rooms decorated with antique furniture have all preserved the charm of an old Parisian residence, made of elegance and refinement. They are fitted out with flat screen satellite television, free Wi-Fi access, mini-bar, telephone and air conditioning. A DVD player and kettle with drinks are available on request.
“ I booked this hotel as I've stayed there before and really rated it. It's in a good location by Place Vendome so it's easy to get everywhere you want to, even on foot. I had a good deal on Travel Republic for a twin room with breakfast for £125 per night.
