Really comfortable, personal hotel with lovely staff, most of them Egyptian. Excellent level of privacy as it's all suites, with a little totally private courtyard off the room for sunbathing etc. that's also a good option for private dining. It has a diving centre too, so would be good for an active diving holiday to get the most from the Red Sea. Great levels of cleanliness, comfort and service.
The quality of food in the restaurant/s is good and the service is really friendly. We had mostly Indian and Egyption food, but there was also Japanese, Thai, European etc. on the menu. The bar is also a very relaxing place with a great barman.
Didn't use the spa but the Thai staff we met from there were also very friendly.
We didn't realise that Hurghada is a resort town, and although Hurghada itself doesn't offer much, especially at the same level of quality as The Oberoi Hotel, it's only about a 30-minute drive from the hotel if you need pharmacies etc. The hotel also offers lots of trips to the more historic and cultural sites in Egypt along the Nile, and the airport also has flights to Cairo. The hotel itself is more for either diving, spa or relaxing holiday or break in very comfortable surroundings than for loud night-life and excitement. The beach, while long and private, doesn't offer swimming except for off the wooden jetty as there's a long quite rocky strip between the sandy beach and the sea, but the water is beautifully clear and you can also watch the sea life from the jetty, and the pool is lovely. The beach and pool staff are also really good. Apparently you can often see dolphins from the hotel, but we didn't manage that the week we were there.
I would definitely recommend this very welcoming hotel, but not Hurghada itself, although it felt totally secure, safe and friendly. You would never know there was a revolution going on in Egypt at the moment as everybody was completely relaxed and friendly. Go to this hotel before the Red Sea gets too crowded again!

“ The hotel was excellent - the food was superb, the room was clean and spacious. On arrival they upgraded us to a beach front room which was really good. The location was stunning, ideal for diving and snorkelling. A lovely pool with poolside restaurant during the day. Our only fault that we found was that the service although good, tended to be a bit slow (e.g. when ordering wine it sometimes didn't come until after we had been served food) and lacking in observation (we were quite often without certain items of cutlery etc.). However, having said that, the restaurant and hotel staff were all very polite and courteous and we have no complaints with them with regard to that at all. We enjoyed our stay tremendously and would certainly go back.
“ Top Tip: The hotel was too far out of Hurghada to go anywhere else but we didn't need to the food in the hotel was excellent. We did however, go on a boat excusion for diving and snorkelling and the lunch provided was excellent also.

The hotel is isolated from other ammenities and really good for peace and quite, great snorkling/diving with own reef just off shore/beach.
Nothing really for children other than beach and a small play area, better for adults wanting a quite time away from it all.
Staff very helpful - tipping is not encouraged by the management but you do feel it helps
“ Top Tip: In-Suite dining can be a better than the restuarant for some different options and is very cheap.
